Photoshop Editing Practice (Original Version)
Photoshop Editing Practice
I ended up using a lot of the Levels tool over all, but also lasso'ing different areas to make the white paper read better (It was very shadowy at the bottom when I lightened the image initially). I also had to change the saturation of random areas (lasso the spots, then Adjustments>hue/saturation and/or >color balance). I also used the Healing brush tool to take out some random marks on the paper that are unnecessary. The entire paper was completely crooked too, so I erased the edges. It also ended up getting very grainy, so I had to smooth some areas. I did this by using the lasso tool and then >filter>blur>surface blur.

This one was easier to edit-- I cropped and rotated the image a little bit, so it was straighter. And then I used transform>warp to make the edges all consistent. I also did some edit to color and brightness with the levels tool and color balance.

My speedpaint ended up looking like shit, so I did another one and used the prompt: Portrait of a Friend. I wasn't feeling the "future" prompt. So here's a portrait of my friend Jarad. It took about an hour and a half.

  1. well Jarad looks pretty rad even though hes not from the future. its nice to see your progress shots the changes you made to your color pallet as you went. i love all the layers they really bring this to life. good job with the with your image correcting the drawing are really delicate and complex and i know its really hard to correct something like this without losing some of that detail.
