The hatching technique you've used on the orange is super intriguing and gives the peel a nice texture. All of these illustrations share a very simple, accessible visual style that I think works for the theme. It's like something you'd see in a hip diner
I really like the shading that you did on the orange and the straw with it, also your color pallets are super mellow and calming?
The only thing I'd like to see is maybe what it would look like if you played with some other textures on like, the surface of the stove and the whole pancake illustration.
The linework and pure-black shading really work for your style - not having textures I think was a pretty good choice. Everything is bold, easy to read, and kinda gives me a pseudo-graphic vibe. The only thing that's sticking out a bit is the blue coloring in the milk and the shape of the bowl.
I dig the direction you're going with your linework here. I'd love to see what you do adding a few colored lines into the mix, since all of the lines seem to be reading equally strong. Love the first, which seems to be your most cohesive and visually pleasing color scheme.
these are sweet but i wish all of them had detailed linework like the orange juice one, it just seems like the rest were sort of rushed. the color is nice and bold and matches well throughout all of them.
I love your first and third piece. I think that the shading, lines, and flat colors really work together. They seem a lot stronger than the other two pieces. Maybe if you added the same shadows and line work that to the other two pieces, they would all look more cohesive.
Your use of shading and linework are really nice here! All of the illustrations go together really well and your use of vibrant colors really stand out together as a set. All of these as a group feel pretty cohesive. Nice work!
These are really fun! I LOVE the orange - and how you did the texture in the cells of the orange. that is fantastic. I think these brushes work really well for you and I would even go back and use that inking brush to maybe enhance the texture of some of the different kinds of pores in the pancakes (maybe with a second brown instead of black?) and maybe in the cereal bits? That way you could differentiate it from how you treated the shadowy areas! I think that the way you composed these are really approachable, and make them seem like a good set. I'd maybe revisit the last one and re-look at the texture under the pan and consider the kind of linework you did on the orange one because that one is so nice and the brush control is fantastic! Bringing it back into the stove one would make it seem like there are some detailed areas we can focus on as well!
