Pattern Assignment

Print PrintPrint Print Print Print Print Hey guys! I've been sick and running around these last few weeks, which means I'm catching up on some late work. These are my summer patterns which I thought could be used on beach towels or potentially "classy" Hawaiian shirts. I tried to keep the pattern restricted to just shapes and bright colors, which might have caused more problems for me than if I'd just used more textures. It was a fun opportunity though, to rein in and strip down my style. All these shapes were simply created with the pencil tool and the shape tools (with some eraser corrections). Exporting them was a crazy time, as I got some wild colors with their CMYK profile. In the end though I'm incredibly proud of these little guys, even though working on them was a battle of constant color correction. Can't wait to apply everything I learned to another project, working from the ground up knowing what I do now.

  1. hey chase sorry you were sick, but these really did turn out great. these totally feel like summer and picked a really good color pallet. i wish there was a little more variation in size in the main pattern though.all the icons are about the same size and they compete with other. all the extra patterns you made do well to compliment the main pattern
