I think this actually turned out really well, I think you could definitely go a bit bolder with the gradient/glow, maybe make it a little whiter, and it will give it a much bolder glow and contrast with the rest of the image, super simple fix.
Those desert landscapes turned out great. I love your subtle use of color! Just wish that dark outline around the road and the horizon line weren't there. Everything else flows together very nicely. I do wish more color made its way into the bottom piece, maybe a light blue highlight around some of the edges of the furniture to bring some more life into it?
I really appreciate that you went away from a traditional landscape and decided to do something much more contemporary. It only strikes me as unfinished, because I can definitely see instances where the color can be pushed to make for a higher contrast and still achieve the thematic atmosphere of the assignment. The objects themselves are already nicely crafted - just play around with the color!
I think all of these turned out quite nicely! The desert landscapes feel really nice as they are, although i do feel that it might be nice to remove the dark outline from the horizon as well as the road. Other than that I like your use of gradients and colors I think you were able to successfully use those to greatly emphasize the feeling in your desert.
I'm a little disappointed with how the TV one came out, just because there's so little contrast and I kind of stumbled my way through it, but alas.
