Even though you made some subtle changes, I like this version a lot more than your original! The lights are nice and simple element that keep the composition from being too monotone, and they also work like tiny points of interest to bring attention to all the other details of the landscape.I love the little grass marks and plants you added too! The only thing that caught my attention was the mountain in the midground that isn't quite as rounded on the top as the others - it stands out from the other smooth mounds you have going on.
I really enjoy the nice, subdued colors of this and that grass is really spectacular. I think the whole thing works well overall. The only suggestion I could make is that the rightmost hill sorta vanishes into the horizon line and that kinda looks a bit odd.
i mostly used the blob brush, overlay, and the gradient tool. i had alot fun making this, and i've already started another.
