Here are the landscapes from last week and the one for this week! I actually severely misunderstood the assignment and didn't realize that we had to make a whole new landscape with the new theme rather than doing a theme for one we did previously, so I managed what I could this morning!
(Dang, I had a huge block of text fawning over your in-class works and Blogger ate it all. Ahh! So pretty and polished though.) Anyway, your use of subtle gradients are beautiful. Definitely watch out for colors bleeding into each other, like where the seafoam green on the bottom right of the forests meet up with the waterline. It's a shame there wasn't enough time to flesh out the out of class piece, it's starting to look really nice!
I really enjoy how nice an clean your landscapes turned out! Your choice of colors and gradients blend together so nicely as they all feel very cohesive as a whole and even as a set. My favorite one is the second one with the pinkish colors. I think you were able to successfully able to create elegant landscapes through your use of shape and subtle color.

ReplyDeleteHahaha oh god! Thanks so much. The bleeding was intentional! But I only looked at it for so long, I'm not sure if its actually pulling off.
