i made this weird guy for this weeks assignment. i used the pen and the drawing tool and 6 textures. i actually had a lot of fun with this project, and i plan on making more of these.
I really enjoy how you used 6 different textures in this piece! I love how you were able to implement all the textures to make the piece feel fully cohesive even though all of the textures were different. Your creature is very cute!
I can tell you put a lot of work into this as far as using different textures. Theres a lot of interesting contrasts between them and I'm excited to see more of these with different colors. Maybe try using more clashing colors with different patterns, I feel like that could be interesting.
This is a fun piece! You really used your different textures to make this rabbit feel kind of patchwork. I'd love to have seen this animal on a colored background rather than a blank white space.
I can't tell if this is creepy or if it's innocent. I think it's the eyes. I don't trust them...
Anyway, I really like the variety of textures and how you used them, especially in that scribbly tail. It looks like a patch-work stuffed animal. I think it could be improved by adding a subtle felt or cloth texture to the parts of the animal that aren't textured.
I really enjoy the variety of texture in this piece, it looks like you used a lot of them. I think all the textures work very well in the piece, except perhaps the texture on the face, but that may just be due to the color of it. I agree with Sean though, very creepy/cute.
This guy is really silly! I really like that you used a variety of textures, I think it was nice to see how all of the different textures created additional values in the piece and I can see how this would be helpful for you to add into your poster. One thing that might be nice is to see what happens when you change some of the colors of the black to something tonal? Maybe it would pull and push some of the pieces in space. I think it would be really nice to see this guy on a colored background, too - just to see how the bowtie looks -- maybe it'll pop out more! But I think that you did a great job with the clipping masks, too!
I love all the textures you decided to incorporate into this! Normally this amount would end up making the piece look to busy or overworked, but you've done a bang up job of distributing them evenly and cohesively! My favorite part is actually the grunge texture on the head - it's creating some really nice color gradation I think could work in some other areas, too.
