  1. This autumn-like color palette is A+ and you did a bang up job of blending the colors together to give the sense that the machinery is blooming. The water is a nice subtle detail, and I think the rays of light could benefit from being a little quieter as well, but overall it's a very warm and inviting atmosphere!

  2. This is an awesome combination of images to start with - and I think what you did with it looks really great! One thing I think is fantastic about this one is that you really created this post-apocalyptic look to the image -- as if the earth is reclaiming this really beaten and battered site! I think the way you've added color back into the water to mimic the foliage on top of the wreckage. I also think that overall the color palette is really nice- the original image combo had a great amount of depth and I think you picked really nicely complementary colors to make the image complete. The only thing I think you could refine a bit more are the light rays - maybe they need to be coming down at the same angle? There is one that is off to the left that has a bit more diagonal, if that one followed the same path as the rest, I think it'd look really natural!

  3. This piece is really beautiful, I like your use of warm autumn color tones as they really helped emphasize your piece. Your use of lighting is really well done, I like the rays of light that appear within your piece. Nice work!

  4. Your color sense in this is really strong Carl! Everything gels really well. I think though that if you brought in a little more of that darkish green throughout the piece that it might add a bit more weight and depth throughout, pushing the foreground ahead and your background farther away. Honestly though that would just be icing on the cake.

  5. The strong color scheme and depth create a very fleshed out environment here, and your use of light is great!
