Here's my gif for this week, I wish I had started out with a different composition in the beginning, but didn't have time this week to really start over.
This is great! The cat's tail flows well while working with limited frames. Part of me wishes the shooting star animation appeared less frequently, maybe by drawing the comet on layers separate from the moving tail, and adding multiple cycles of it before beginning the shooting animation. Just a little variation of cycles like that can definitely make the whole thing feel more natural.
I really like the way you did the sky, it has a nice depth to it. I feel like the movements to this are nice, but overall it feels a bit fast. You could probably either make each frame last just a bit longer, or add in another frame or two.
I think your composition is great already. I would love to see how this turns out if you go back into it. The movements are a little choppy, but I think simply adding more frames in between movements will give it the fluidity it needs.
Aw! I love the tail movement! Very smooth and playful. It'd be nice if the composition was changed by either making the figures VERY small, or maybe cropping it in so they fill up more of the frame.
Overall, I think this is a nice animated piece. My main quip lies in the superfast loop speed. I think if you added some repetitive buffer frames of just the cat before the meteor flies by, the whole animated scene might look a bit less hectic.
This looks like KiKi's Delivery Service! I really like how simple your background is while still having a lot of depth in it just from your mark making. Some different textures in the witch girls dress would be interesting to add in sometime.
i like this a lot, the color is great and the composition is cool. i love the sky!! i think that if you made the shooting star come less often it could be a little better. like maybe have the cat wag its tail back and forth 4-5 times before the star comes back.
