I love that foliage. Is that a custom brush you used to make the leaves? They're very well rendered and detailed, but some of the brush work does tend to sit on top of the photograph segments of the piece. Seeing that water painted to compliment your brushstrokes would definitely enhance the feeling of the scene you have created!
I think this could benefit from blending the photos together a little bit more before starting the painting process. Your foliage brush looks really nice. I think if you varied the color more it wouldn't seem to stand out as much.
I like the additions of the foreground elements a lot! I think that if you take a custom textury brush and add a pastel-like texture to the rocks, you can make the textures look really natural, the same way you did the plants. I think the foliage brush is looking nice! One more thing that I think you could do is put a bit more paint on some of the areas where the photos merge together and I think that the whole thing can have the same painterly look as the foreground elements and the foliage! It's a really nice scenic landscape and that's the last thing I'd recommend so it looks like it was all treated with the same textures! Just a bit more painting on it!
I think the fuzziness of the brush in this piece is taking away from how well you've composed it. For most representational art, objects in the foreground have a very defined edge, even if they are blockier. The way this is working really confuses the eye about foreground and background. I think using a grubbier/crustier/more scratchy brush could might bring out those foreground details you're interested in.
I really enjoy the environment you created here, it feels like an oasis. I agree with Sean that it might be helpful to blend the photos more before painting, but you still got a nice product in the end. The rocks and stuff would probably benefit from some textures too. Your lighting situation looks to be working well though.
